Yes, it's that time of year again -- well okay, it's a bit earlier than usual, but CTMH has indeed made public their list of retiring products. The list is long, and some of the products chosen for retirement are a bit of a surprise (to me anyway), but nonetheless it's here. If you'd like to receive a copy of the complete list - just email me and I'll send one your way. All products on the list are scheduled to retire on December 31 - and as such are available now only while quantities last. So if there is a 'must-have' product for you - there is no time like the present to place your order to ensure that you are not disappointed. Beginning January 1, 2007 the retiring products will be available only to customers who shop in my online store....and even then quantities will be limited, as these products are all now out of production. Two of the biggest surprise retirements for me are the Dickens Village My Reflections Collection Scrapbooking Kit and the Teammates My Reflections Collection Kit. Both of the kits were just released in September for the Fall/Winter catalogue season. Since both of these kits have been popular, I can't help but wonder what CTMH has in store for us next. It is extremely unusual for a product to retire after only being on the market for 4 short months. Personally, I would love to see both of these kits expanded into complete My Reflections Level 1 and Level 2 kits with coordinating stamps and embellishments -- so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is indeed the plan. I can hope right? Also a surprise is the retirement of the 6x6 and 9x9 Base Pages. While these may not be the most popular album formats for scrapbookers (12x12 is of course the industry standard) - these album album sizes make for great gift or theme albums and the base pages make putting your project together so quick and easy. Each Base Page kit comes with a dozen pre-printed layout pages printed in monochromatic tones. You can keep the look monochromatic and just add your photos and journaling, or 'step-up' the concepts and embellish your pages with co-ordinating patterned paper. With base pages, you can create pages that are as simple or advanced as you want them to be - and you can pull an entire album together faster than you might ever imagine. If you love the base-page concept as much as I do, rest assured - base pages will continue to be available in 12x12 format going into 2007, it is only the 6x6 and 9x9 formats that are scheduled to retire. So again, these products (and more) are officially out of production are available now only while supplies last. Between now and December 31, you can place your order for retiring product through me -- and beginning in January you can shop for retiring product only through my online store. So order early to avoid disappointment!
